Born 22-04-1946 in Aarhus, Denmark.
My interest in archaeology started at High School, where in 1964 I attended my first excavation.
In November 1966, I began to study archaeology at University of Aarhus after compulsive service in the armed forces.
In September 1972, I took my degree, and in December 1973, I became employed at Aarhus University.
In 1977, I became associate professor at Aarhus University, a position that I kept since then.
In
May 2006, I retired from the University, and I am now dividing my time between
travelling, gardening and archaeology.
After 34 years as a professional, archaeology has now become my hobby.
